Your Feedback is Valued

This is the place to comment on this blog in general. Your feedback, negative or positive, is welcome and appreciated. You don't have to be kind. If you do have criticism, this is fine, but perhaps you can offer a solution or suggestion along with your negative comments.

I can't promise I'll follow what you say here, but I'll definitely take it into account.

One continuing issue, brought up by one of my commentors, is that my site apparently sometimes takes a long long time to load. Is this still happening? Is anyone having problems with my site and load time?

My commentor also mentioned that my site only shows partially on Internet Explorer. Is this still an issue. Are IE users not seeing all my template? You feedback is appreciated.

Hi Rock! (See....I'm back again!) I have your blog bookmarked so I'll come and read what you write.

Since I know your blogsite now, I can see that you made some font changes (maybe you changed templates, too). Your blogsite doesn't load properly for my IE browser. I know that you use a different browser from analyzing your visit to my blog. Anyway, I'm on a satellite connection and it takes about 2 minutes to load. Most of the left column loads first, then the right, but your main body is totally empty until the final thrust of the website loads up. I'm unsure why this is happening because I'm too lazy to check your code. LOL If I were a first-time viewer on the IE browser, I would probably move on, figuring it was an abandoned blog!

Feel free to delete this 'comment', it was just written to let you know that at least my browser and your blogsite seem to have issues with each other.
Later,
Lynn

Wow Lynn, this is really important, and thank you for telling me. This is so kind of you to take the time to tell me. I'll just have to tinker, because I have no idea what might be causing the problem.

Can I ask Is anyone else having the same problem?

Hi, I try to read your posts when I get a moment. But there is something seriously wrong with your site. I don't know if it is the browser or too heavily bloated with ads or something else. Today's post will not load.

betty b., thank you so much for your heads up. I've removed everything I know that was slowing up my site, and now the site loads in about 15 seconds on all browsers, I hope. I'm not sure what the major culprit was. Site Meter I know was hanging up at the end, but maybe it was hanging up because of some of the other things I had, like 3 Adsense ads, and picture ads. Link2Blogs also seemed to be slow.

Anyway, they're all off now, and the site is not getting stuck anymore, and loading in 15 seconds. Let me know if that's fast enough.

I'll be experimenting by putting things back one by one, but I'll do it with a Test blog and not this one, so I won't inconvenience people anymore. I apologize to you and anyone else who had a difficult time getting on the site.

I had to give up some things that I really love on the site, but as you say, if it was bloated, then it was bloated.

I wonder if hosting the blog from Blogger through FTP on another server would be faster? Any idea?

Anyway, thanks a lot for your note. I really appreciate you taking the time to let me know about it, especially since you probably had to wait forever to get on.

Have a good day!

Hi Rock. The site is very much improved. Not only is the load faster, but the blog width has also increased. Don't know what you did, but on the IE browser, the content is much more readable and more professional looking.

I was just stopping by quickly, too quickly to catch up on the past 3 entries which will need to wait til later.

Thank you Lynn. You gave me the first insights, but I didn't exactly know what you meant until I started looking at my site from different browsers. I was shocked. I thought everyone was seeing what I was seeing. You have no idea of the hours I spent getting it to look and work better. Along the way I've learned some things.

Thank you for your invaluable feedback, without which I'd be stuck with a poorly working and unprofessional-looking site.

Have a good day!
